Maranda has a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and is working toward her doctoral degree at William James College, with an emphasis in Children and Families in Resilience. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families, using a strengths-based approach that recognizes the importance of family dynamics in treatment.

Maranda integrates an integrative approach, selecting interventions based on the unique needs of each individual patient, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness techniques, behavior interventions, and parent behavioral training to help children and families manage emotional and behavioral challenges. She also incorporates humor and creativity into her therapeutic work, recognizing that these elements can build rapport and create a more engaging, supportive environment for clients.

Maranda has worked extensively with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health concerns, including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, ADHD, and other developmental and emotional disorders. She is particularly committed to using an individualized, family-oriented treatment approach, seeing the therapeutic relationship between therapist, child, and family as vital to positive outcomes. She emphasizes parent coaching, skill generalization, and behavioral interventions, including Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE Protocol), to support children and families in creating lasting change.

Maranda has worked in public schools, outpatient therapy settings, and hospital-based settings, such as Franciscan Children’s Hospital and Mass General Brigham Salem Hospital. She has provided support for children, teens, and parents in both individual and group therapy. She has assisted in neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan. She believes in the power of family involvement and collaboration to help children thrive. She strives to create a warm, supportive, and positive environment for both children and families, enabling them to build confidence, strengthen emotional well-being, and achieve their goals. Her goal is to provide evidence-based interventions that promote growth and help children and families reach their fullest potential.
Maranda is currently working closely with Dr. Jillian Bennett, in order to learn more about the neuropsychological assessment process. BABCC is excited to welcome Maranda to the team!
