Quality Assessment and Treatment Services

Our Mission

Bennett Assessment and Behavior Center for Children, LLC (BABCC) is a unique center that provides high quality, comprehensive assessment and empirically supported treatment services to children ages 1-15. BABCC was formed in 2017 with the goal of providing a different type of assessment experience and treatment program for families. We provide compassionate care, wrap-around support, & advocacy for our clients. We not only complete assessments that help with diagnostic clarification, but we strive to understand the “whole child” and write comprehensive, individualized reports that help families understand how their child’s brain works, and what they can do to help support them. We also work with the child to empower them and help them understand the many strengths that come with their unique neurodiversity.

BABCC evaluators often act as the “point person” for families and follow children over time, providing consultation, treatment, and/or additional evaluations, if needed. We are a collaborative team that cares about each family and works closely with schools and other providers. We have a strong network of other professionals that we have worked with since 2010, and we help families connect with needed speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, behavior analysts, psychiatrists, neurologists, developmental pediatricians, geneticists, teachers, school administrators, and private school programs.

Although BABCC accepted insurance until 2022, we found that many of the support and services we provided were not considered “medically necessary” by insurance companies. We do not accept insurance at this time because we do not operate within this “medical model,” nor do we have a profit-driven “factory” with rotating clinicians and clients who are treated as numbers (or diagnoses). Our approach is much more personal, and family-centered. This approach is reflected in the thoroughness of our evaluation reports and the time spent in creating individualized recommendations for each child and family. Due to this unique approach, our waiting list tends to be longer than many other centers. However, once your family is in our program, we will support you and your child, in whatever you need. We are passionate about our services and we truly love the work we do. Please reach out if you would like to find out more information about how BABCC can support you and your child(ren).

What Others are Saying about Dr. Bennett...

"I had the pleasure of supporting one of our teachers in reading through and interpreting one of your Neuropsych reports. I had to reach out and let you know that it was one of the best Neuropsych evals I have read through in my career!

The way you laid out and formatted the report was logical and approachable. So many other reports require too much digging to find the relevant information you need to support a student. Your's was organized and made it so much easier to navigate.

On top of that, I am always so grateful when an evaluator really goes into detail around the assessments, performance and nuance of meaning when comparing tests and subtests. As a huge data nerd myself I appreciated how you synthesized strengths, weakness and clearly laid out recommendations for success.

Our work in Special Ed would be so much easier if all diagnostic reports were like this. If one day there is more of a standardized format for Neuro reports I hope yours will be the model!

Thank you again for this, it is clear that you put a ton into your work, reports and your clients (and their teachers) are lucky for it!"
